Its been awhile

My roommate thinks I’m carrying childhood holiday stuff into my adulthood 

Idk what to think. part of me just felt like crap but idk what else to feel. I shouldn’t feel bad about not being a holiday person. I just don’t get it. Maybe its because most of my family that I would want to spend the holidays with is dead. 
I know every family has their own family holiday crap. But I never spent a thanksgiving or Easter with my mom. ever. I don’t even know what she would do on those days because i was somewhere else. 

I just don’t get why i feel so defensive about all of it. I really don't
